Dear Colleagues, We have the pleasure to invite you to the Third International Symposium on Green Chemistry for Environment, Health and Development that will be held in Skiathos island, Greece, on October 3 to 5, 2012. The conference is organized by the Society of Ecotoxicology & Environmental Safety (SECOTOX) and the Department of Planning and Regional Development, University of Thessaly, in collaboration with the Department of Chemistry, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the Department of Chemical Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the Department of Food Technology, T.E.I of Thessaloniki, the Hellenic Green Chemistry Network and the Technical Chamber of Greece. The symposium is under the aegis of the Ministry of Environment, Energy and Climate Change and the Municipality of Skiathos. The main symposium goal is to present and appoint issues related with renewable resources, green pharmacy, ecotoxicology environmental legislation and policy etc. The papers accepted for the oral or poster presentation of the symposium will be published as abstarcts in a hard copy. The full papers will be uploaded at the symposium website that will be accessed by symposium participants via password. The organizing committee is in contact with international scientific journals and selected articles from the symposium will be published in special issues, after they are reviewed. The symposium participants will be informed regarding these issues via e-mail. Authors interested in having their paper published in the special issues of international journals can submit their manuscripts at the symposium or within two months afterwards. All professionals, researchers, environmentalists and policy makers involved or interested in the area of the symposium are invited to present papers relating to the symposium topics. Indicate your preference for an oral or poster presentation. Authors are requested to submit abstracts, preferably, by e-mail as a Word file attachment to the Symposium Secretariat, by June 30, 2012.
